Introducing: Twin Sister
The first time I was introduced to this New yorker quintet was through my good friend Niels. Being my musical co-worker and fellow geek, we often play lots of tunes to each other. But instead of starting out by forcing me into complete silence until a track has been listened to the end, tracks are often put on the stereo without further presentation – I mean, you tend to get tired of people (like myself), who almost demands your attention and expects a reaction of excitement like the one they had themselves. Everybody knows that: Soo?-what’d-you-think-awkwardness, and you just have to feel like you just heard the best track ever written… Just a little hairball that needed to get out – Let people decide for themselves!!
Anyway, the catchy coolness that lies within their music was stuck in my head every time it was put on and I just had to know more about them. And that’s when I realized that This band really had hit the nail. Twin Sister didn’t introduce themselves to me – I introduced myself to Twin Sister (just to say it in the cheesiest way possible).
Enough talking. Twin Sister is what the dictionary defines as an indie DIY band, with thin arms, down to earth attitude and recording sessions made in a two bedroom apartment. But if you want to get a piece of this kind of intimacy with this band you have to move fast. Since I started writing on this blog entry two months ago, the band have announced a record deal, a big spring tour across the US and got a new band member!
The music is equal measures of fragile indierock, motown coolness and with a twist of Texas. On tracks like ‘I Want A House’ you just get an urge to drive far far away in a car with your Ray Bans on and the wind blowing your greasy hair – love it!

Du skal have tak for at dele musikken. Det er indie når det er bedst. Jeg kan virkelig godt lide hendes stemme.
