The New Pornographers – Your Hands (Together)
These days it’s almost hard to remember what music blogging is to me, other than writing about newly released singles from bands that I really love and you probably already know of, but damn some things are just too important to get stranded off the coast of our Tumblr (even though our Tumblr straight up rox).
So today the band is old powerpop darling The New Pornographers, who uploaded the first single from the forthcoming and fith album Together some days ago. And it’s good. Like… really good. Delicate and beautiful yet powerful and probably everything I ever wanted from this band should they decide to make more music. The album releases on May 4′th and if you have a tendency to remember details from the stuff that I write about, you will notice that it’s the same day as the new Broken Social Scene album is due to release. I guess that’s like christmas basically. Just way way awesomer! So go ahead and have an early present.
