Music Video: Ok Go – This Too Shall Pass
Whether it’s treadmill madness or backyard dancing OK Go always amazes the crap out of me when they make a new video. And I don’t know if the fancy videos are compensation for lack of something on the musical side or if it’s just because they think they’re a lot of fun, but either way they are lovable! This new video is basically a large Rupe Goldberg Machine that ends up splashing paint in the band members’ faces and I think it’s really impressive. I especially like the sequence where a hammer smashes a TV showing the treadmill video probably just to emphasize how much more awesome this one is.
In addition there is a four part series explaining some the many things that were put in motion in order to make this video. Impressive really, because watching it I caught myself thinking “this can’t be completely real” but seemingly it is, even down to the smallest detail of precision and timing, real. OK Go is truly a band to admire.
