While riding my bike to work this morning I suddenly started laughing to myself. Some weird chemic reaction in my brain brought the musical career of Boogie Nights’ star Dirk Diggler to the surface. You have to admit that ‘You Got The Touch’ is a powerful song. It’s just really a shame that the bass is taking away from Dirk’s vocal. It doesn’t really sound balanced to me. The vocals are clearly being smothered. All you can hear is the bass. People who buy a Dirk Diggler record wants to hear his voice, not Charlie playing the bass. You can’t even hear the claps! Now with the invention of autotune I hope they get Dirk’s ass back in the studio. Cause he will rock you, and he will roll you!

Damn he is really spitting some wisdom in this scene: “People love slow songs, when they are a little fast!”

Such a great movie. You really have to admire the diverse talent of Paul Thomas Anderson
